SYSTEM CONSTRUCTION
1. Lighting Layout and Inspection
We will notify you once we are prepared to start on your lighting project.
2. Fixture Placement
Flags will be placed where the fixtures are to go and will begin conceptualizing how the cable is going to routed
around obstacles such as concrete structure, roots, boulders and landscape amenities with the least disturbance
possible. Homeruns (voltage test points) and distribution junctions in the system are determined and located.
3. Transformer Location
The location of the transformer(s) will be determined and connected to a GFCI 120Vac outlet.
4. Fixture and LED Assembly
Fixtures and LED lamp modules are removed from their boxes and assembled. Final quality control fixture inspection is
made by installer. Once the LED lamp module is hard wired into each individual weather tight fixture, it’s brightness level is
adjusted and proper optic placed. Marking flags are removed except at voltage test point which make them easier to locate
once the system has been fired up.
5. Cabling
Now that the fixtures, transformers and controls are in place, cable gauge size and routing locations are finalized. Main
and feeder cables are rolled out on top of the ground and cut to size.
6. Connections
Now that all of the cable runs are in place, the system is now ready for Gilea techs to connect all of the wires.
7. System Turned ON and System Adjustments
The system is turned ON and once all fixtures are properly functioning, the system final adjustment phase of your installation
begins. We will wait until night begins to starting adjustment; that way you can clearly see the lighting effects created by
each fixture. Now walk your property again and make sure each light is aimed at the desired feature in your landscape.
8. Client Feedback and Approval
Client feedback and approval is the next step where the client approves the landscape lighting system.
9. Completion of Build
Completion of the built is completed.
10. Project Completion
Enjoy your new landscape lighting.
